The University of Turbat has successfully completed the full Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) cycle for Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) of its graduate programs under the HEC’s PSG-2023 framework. The PREE cycle was formally concluded through site visits conducted on May 08–09, 2026.

A total of seven graduate programs, including two PhD programs, were reviewed through seven separate Review Panels. Each panel comprised three members, including one external member. Dr. Muhammad Irshad, Director ORIC, University of Gwadar, served as the external member across the review panels.
During the site visits, the Review Panels evaluated comprehensive evidence against Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), program and course files, scholar files, governance and monitoring mechanisms of programs, laboratory and library resources, and other academic facilities. The panels also interacted with faculty members and students to assess teaching, learning, and overall academic support processes.

In the exit meetings held with the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Director QEC, the Review Panels shared key observations and recommendations for quality enhancement. These included strengthening admissions in graduate programs, ensuring timely completion of degrees, improving maintenance of scholar records, launching new programs where PhD-qualified faculty are available, strengthening governance and academic monitoring systems, improving documentation practices, and further enhancing laboratory, library, digital, and internet facilities.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the constructive feedback and assured full institutional support for implementing the recommendations. Dr. Riaz Ahmed acknowledged the cooperation of all stakeholders in facilitating the smooth completion of the PREE cycle for IQA during the academic year 2025–26. He stated that the successful completion of the PREE cycle reflects the university’s continued commitment to strengthening internal quality assurance systems and fostering a culture of continuous academic improvement.
