Turbat University Hosts Online Session on Youth as Guardian of Truth: Combating Propaganda, Manipulation and Subversion

The University of Turbat hosted an online session titled “Youth as Guardians of Truth: Combating Propaganda, Manipulation, and Subversion” on May 13, 2026. Faculty members, administrative staff, and students from Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, including its main campus at Khuzdar and sub-campus at Turbat, Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences, Uthal, University of Gwadar, and University of Makran at Panjgur, participated in the session via video link.
Muhammad Abdullah Hameed Gul, an intellectual, socio-political figure, and renowned public speaker, attended the session virtually as the keynote speaker. UoT’s Director Public Relations, Ijaz Ahmed, moderated the session. UoT’s Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Director Student Affairs Chakar Haider, faculty members, administrative staff, as well as students attended the session.
During his address, the keynote speaker Abdullah Hameed Gul highlighted the role of youth as guardians of truth and builders of peace. He also shared his views on the Iran-US conflict and Pakistan’s significant role in the evolving global landscape. He responded comprehensively to questions from participants regarding Balochistan, regional and global issues. On behalf of UoT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, the Director Public Relations thanked the keynote speaker and participants from the partner universities for attending the session.
