University of Turbat Holds Ceremony to Mark First Anniversary of Marka-i-Haq

The University of Turbat organized a ceremony on May 8, 2026 to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-i-Haq.
The event was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan and attended by a large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

The ceremony was held to pay tribute to the sacrifices and firm commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests. Participants expressed solidarity with the armed forces and reaffirmed their collective commitment to peace, stability, and national unity.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan highlighted the vital role played by Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation against external threats and ensuring the security and stability of the country.

The Vice Chancellor said that Pakistan’s response to India’s unprovoked aggression had demonstrated the country’s firm commitment to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations. He stated that Marka-i-Haq unmasked India’s hostile intentions and aggressive policies toward Pakistan and reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on sovereignty and regional peace.
He further stated that universities, as centers of learning and intellectual development, have an important responsibility in promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, critical thinking, and national harmony among the youth. He urged students to remain committed to education, unity, and constructive engagement for the progress and prosperity of the country. At the conclusion of the ceremony, prayers were offered for the peace, stability, and development of Pakistan, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the nation.
