Kech Spring Festival 2026: Indoor Games Kick off at the University of Turbat with Over 50 Teams Participating

Turbat (April 29, 2026) In connection with the Kech Spring Festival 2026, the opening ceremony of indoor games was held at the University of Turbat (UoT). The chief guest on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Turbat, Tabish Ali, formally inaugurated the competitions.

According to the university spokesperson, the indoor games will continue from April 29 to May 1 at the university gymnasium. The competitions include badminton, table tennis, and chess, with more than fifty teams participating.
The ceremony was attended by Registrar UoT, Ghanguzar Baloch, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor; faculty members Dr. Adnan Riaz, Jameel Ahmed, Amjad Habib, Director Public Relations Ijaz Ahmed, In-charge Sports Mazhar Ali, Chief Security Officer Shahid Essa, as well as a large number of students and players.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Tabish Ali appreciated the excellent arrangements made by the university administration and acknowledged its strong collaboration with the district administration. He remarked that it is encouraging to see the University of Turbat playing a vital role not only in delivering quality education but also in promoting character-building and fostering healthy and positive activities among youth.
He further stated that the Kech Spring Festival, organized under the supervision of the district administration, aims to engage youth in peaceful and healthy pursuits, highlight their hidden talents, promote confidence among women, and contribute to the overall progress of society, which requires collective public support.

On this occasion, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch emphasized that co-curricular activities are an integral part of education and play a significant role in building a healthy and vibrant society. He said that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Gul Hasan, the University of Turbat is implementing a comprehensive program through its Directorate of Student Affairs and the Sports Department to provide students with opportunities for informative, creative, and recreational engagement.
He also appreciated the district administration’s efforts to create positive opportunities for students, youth, and the wider community, and stressed the need for continued support in enhancing sports facilities at the university.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sports In-charge Mazhar Ali thanked all participants and stated that the enthusiastic participation of youth in the festival is highly encouraging. He added that the University of Turbat’s outstanding performance in the HEC All Balochistan Inter-University Football Championship reflects UoT’s strong commitment to promoting sports despite limited resources.
