VC meeting and address at Gwadar Campus
The Vice Chancellor University of Turbat Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir
said that the start of regular classes at the university’s Sub Campus at Gwadar would help in the acceleration of socioeconomic development and bring prosperity to the people of coastal town. Speaking at a gathering of students and faculty on January 2, 2017 during a visit to Gwadar Campus Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir added that Gwadar Campus would be transformed into a full-fledged charted university of Gwadar soon to make higher education accessible for the people of the region. Vice Chancellor accorded a special thanks to the people of Gwadar, Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Federal and Provincial government, particularly Commissioner Mekran Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai and DC Gwadar Tufail Ahmed for their support in the promotion of education in the Gwadar. Vice Chancellor said University of Turbat has grown to become a research led University , known for the excellence of its teaching, innovation and academic services being rendered to the people of Mekran, Balochistan and other provinces. Director Gwadar Campus Mr. Ijaz Ahmed and Chairman Management Sciences Mr. Ghulam Jan also spoke on the occasion. Presiding over a meeting at the Gwadar Campus earlier, the Vice Chancellor instructed the quarters concerned, to increase number of buses for students, build a digital conference room, including a seminar Hall and library with modern facilities and other modern facilities like internet for improved learning at Gwadar Campus. Director Campus Mr. Ijaz Ahmed briefed the meeting about progress and needs of the institution.
The meeting was attended by registrar UoT Dr. Hanif Rahman, Treasurer Ghulam Farooq Baloch DP Muhammad Hayat, Chairman Commerce Abdul Majid, Management Sciences Ghulam Jan Baloch, Education Manzoor Ahmed, Computer Science Mazar Mohsin, dy Controller Chakar Haider , CSO Shah mir Baloch, director IT Abdul Hakeeem Baloch, dy Coordinator Gwadar Campus Fida Ahmed and department coordinators at Gwadar Campus.
